It all starts with a plan! Join us for a Garden Design Talk with landscape a Garden Designer on 27th March 7.30-9.45pm at The Marcham Centre, Barrow Close, Marcham OX13 6TY.

Whether you’re working with a blank canvas or looking to refresh a tired outdoor space, this engaging one-hour talk is the perfect introduction to the art (and science) of garden design.  Led by an experienced garden designer, this session will walk you through the fundamental principles of good garden planning — from layout and structure to planting schemes and seasonal flow.

You’ll Learn how to assess your space, soil, and sunlight, understanding shapes, levels, and focal points, creating a sense of flow with paths, zones, and planting, easy wins for year-round interest, common beginner mistakes — and how to avoid them!

Perfect for garden owners dreaming of a transformation and beginners with no design experience or anyone wanting to make their garden or outdoor space more beautiful, useful, and enjoyable no matter how big or small!

The Women’s Society is a new women’s organisation founded in 2025. Marcham, Oxfordshire is the first location where we are building a community of likeminded women that enjoy networking and learning new skills through workshops and events. As the community builds we will be introducing more locations throughout the Oxfordshire and the UK.
