Starting & finishing at Nettlebed Creamery, circular countryside walk followed by coffee, cheese toasties and relaxed gathering at The Cheese Shed.

Distance: approx. 2.5 miles / 4km

Duration: around 1 hour 15 minutes – 1 hour 30 minutes (at a sociable pace)

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

Timings: 

11:00am Meet outside The Cheese Shed

11:05am Walk briefing & set off

11:45am Woodland section and countryside views

12:15pm Begin return loop towards Nettlebed

12:30–12:45pm Arrive back at The Cheese Shed

From 12:45pm Coffee, cheese toasties & relaxed gathering

(Timings allow for a relaxed group pace and short pauses.)

Route Description (Easy-to-Follow): 

Starting from The Cheese Shed at Nettlebed Creamery, we’ll follow one of the scenic circular walking routes surrounding the creamery, taking in woodland trails, countryside paths and quiet rural tracks through the beautiful Chiltern landscape.

The route gently loops out from Nettlebed through fields and wooded paths before circling back towards the village and The Cheese Shed. The walk is designed to feel relaxed and sociable, with plenty of opportunity to chat and enjoy the surroundings at an easy pace.

We’ll finish back where we started!

What to Wear & Bring: 

September walking is usually lovely, but layers are always a good idea!

Footwear – Comfortable walking shoes, sturdy trainers or walking boots

Clothing – Light layers.  Waterproof jacket if the forecast is changeable.  Comfortable walking clothes

Water bottle

Sunglasses / sun cream if sunny

Small backpack if needed

Dogs – Friendly dogs are welcome but may need to be kept on leads in places due to livestock and other walkers.

After the Walk: 

We’ll finish back at Nettlebed Creamery for coffee, cheese toasties and relaxed conversation at The Cheese Shed – a lovely opportunity to unwind, connect and enjoy the atmosphere after the walk.
